Megan Skirt Tester Round-Up.
Welcome and thank you for reading about my amazing testers of the Designer Stitch group. My team plays an important role as part of the pattern release process. As a designer it is very exciting to see your vision come together and the testers always go above and beyond when finalizing their fabulous garments.
My pattern testers are truly international – some from Australia, others from the US, Asia and Europe. The tester roundup is a great way to see the Megan Skirt on a variety of bodies – shapes and sizes – and how they have used a mix of prints/textures to complete their own personalized Megan.
This blog posts showcases the amazing testers who helped make the Megan Skirt such a wonderful pattern. And don’t forget that the pattern is marked down to $8 – on-sale to Friday 3rd March (AEST) so grab your pattern before then.
This blog post is a great way to showcase all of my lovely ladies in their Megan and will convince you to purchase the pattern.
I always have a sensational testing team so I am going to break my post into 2 parts – and in no particular order, here are my first 10 of my outstanding testers.
Casey is a first time tester for Designer Stitch and I am so happy to have her as part of my team. Casey completed 2 versions of the Megan Skirt and the choice of colour is gorgeous. Casey can be found here on Instagram. Casey lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Camelia DB is a wonderful and experienced sewist who has tested for me on a number of occasions. Camelia completed 2 winter versions of the Megan Skirt and her blog post can be found here. Camelia resides in Almere, The Netherlands
Belinda C’s interpretation of the Megan Skirt was outstanding. Using a combination of hand painted batik Belinda truly made the skirt her own. Well Done !!. Belinda is a native Australian who currently lives in Singapore.
Andrea S is my smallest size tester and has been a member of the Designer Stitch Pattern Tester team since I started designing PDF patterns. She is a truly professional pattern tester and all of her makes are fantastic. Andrea can be found on Instagram here.
Tenille OB’s make of the Megan Skirt was a great combination of plaid wool fabric with a contrast body mixed with lace pocket edges. The decision to cut the front panel on the cross grain was a fabulous mix. Tenille blogs at http://tenille.brien.com.au and lives in Melbourne , Victoria, Australia.
Synthia G is an avid and prolific sewist. Synthia used a combination of plain and print to complete her Megan Skirt. You can follow Synthia here on Facebook. She hails from Los Banos California, U.S.A .
Stacey is new to the Designer Stitch tester group but she certainly did justice to the Megan Skirt. Using a combo of a winter wool with piping insert Stacey really put her signature style on her skirt. Stacey can be found blogging here and hails from the South Coast of England.
Rachel M lives in Werribee, Victoria, Australia. Rachel has tested for me on a number of occasions. Using a great mix of printed and plain cottons Rachel has made such a great and very individual Megan Skirt. Well done !!..
Rachael H resides in Queensland Australia. Using a geometric designed print from IKEA Rachael mixed up the cut to use different parts of the print for the different pocket sections of the Megan Skirt. You will agree that Rachael has completed the Megan with a lot of thought and care.
I am sure you will agree that the first half of my testers showcase was outstanding. Make sure to check back later today for the rest of my wonderful ladies.
