Synthia LG – What a great pair of jeans I have, that actually fit and make me look like a have a nice back, lol. I have worn the Peytons out many times, they feel very comfortable and with the right fitting, don’t pull down in back when I sit. I did need to make a muslin with many fittings until I was happy with the fit. Tip, it is very important to sew up a muslin to get your proper fit with the measurements shown on the pattern, may need to grade with different sizes together, as I did for my pair. Thank you DS for a great fitting pair of jeans. https://sewsynsewn.blogspot.com
Hello, Caroline here, from Belgium (Brussels).
For my Peytons, I followed Anne’s fabric recommendations, so I went with stretch denim 96 % cotton and 4% elastane.
I made the bootleg version twice, because I really adore this model.
As for sewing tips, besides making a toile, which is a given, I recommend buying enough of the Cordonnet thread, so you do not run out mid project. And to follow Ann’s tutorial on measuring the crotch length. Her tutorial is really invaluable. It teaches you well, so you can take this knowledge to any other pants pattern you will sew.
Adjustments: I graded, shortened the legs, amended the crotch length front and back and added 2,5 cm to the CB yoke due to a tilted pelvis. Ann has great info on all adjustments on her site.
As for me, I impressed my father during a visit by saying I made the jeans I was wearing. My boyfriend is very impressed too, which made my heart jump a bit. And last but not least: I am proud of myself. And I * might * have acquired a few other colours of stretch denim these past few weeks. So yes, I have definitely plans to make many more! In all the pretty colours. Thank you Ann for this pattern and for getting me over my fear of trousers.

Hi, I’m Barbara in Northeastern Mississippi, USA!
For my DD Peyton Jeans, I used Cone Mills Fashion Stretch Dark Indigo S-Gene 8 oz Denim that I purchased in 2019 from LAFinchFabrics.com. DD wanted a classic bootcut with decorative back pockets. To help with topstitching the denim, I used a 100/16 wing needle. DD’s Peyton Jeans had a couple of alterations that included crotch lengthening and then shortening the pants length by several inches for her petite frame. DD has worn Peyton Jeans multiple times as they are now her favorite jeans. I’m certain there will be more Peyton Jeans for her in the future! IG: https://www.instagram.com/ninjabreadgirl61/
My name is Carmen, I live in Barcelona, Spain.
I bought my fabric in Ribes&Casals, corduroy 3% stretch
My tip is, take the measurements before cutting the pattern as they can sometimes change, especially after Christmas.
I sewed the slightly flared leg version for the toile, and the wide leg, for my final jeans.
I sewed size 4 except hips which is a size 5.
I’ve reduced the crotch front 3 cm and 2 cm at the back.
At the waistband, I sewed a one cm dart on each side to make it fit tighter at the top of the waist.
The fabric is cotton corduroy 4% elastan.
I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet, but my husband loved it.
I would like to sew this pattern again in denim fabric.

My name is Meiling and I am from Perth, Western Australia.
I used stretch ringspun denim from www.spotlightstores.com
When topstitching it is recommended that you only use topstitch thread in the top and your normal thread in the bobbin, I found this easier to work with. Take your time with your topstitching.
I made the straight leg version and didn’t need to make any adjustments.
I have worn my Peyton jeans and was told by my loving husband that they were probably the best fitting jeans that I own!
I definitely have plans to make another pair!

1. Your name and where you live ? Hi! My name is Nieves and I live in Madrid, Spain
2. What fabric combinations did you choose and where did you purchase I have chosen a blue denim from my usual fabric shop, Tejidos Meco. The fabric of the pockets is a gift from a friend.
3. What sewing tips can you share when sewing the Peyton ? Choose the needle corresponding to the type of fabrics you have bought. The quality of the thread will also help you. To make the decorative stitch look nicer, you can use a thicker thread on the needle. Test with different thicknesses (1 ply, 2 ply, 4 ply) to see if you need any extra help (e.g. press double draw fabrics).
4. What was your style choice for the Peyton ? In my first test I chose the flared model. I liked it a lot but for the second pair of trousers I tried the boots model and it is definitely MY model.
5. What fit alterations did you have to make to the Peyton ? Following the step by step instructions in the tutorial, I calculated the crochet length and increased the back piece by 2 cm and reduced the front piece by 1 cm. The rest was perfect!
6. Have you worn your Peyton yet and what compliments did you receive.
My students didn’t believe it was sewn by me until they saw my label. It fits great, makes a good figure, what else could you ask for?
7. Any plans for future combinations of the Peyton ?
Yessssss! I’m waiting for a caramel twill to make me a more spring-like pair of trousers. After that, I’m sure I’ll get some more because it’s a timeless design, perfect as a wardrobe staple.

Hi everybody! Im Sandra from the Netherlands. This is the first time I make jeans for myself! And wowwww, Peyton will not disappoint! What a lovely pattern! My tip would be: make sure to pick the correct fabric! It should have some stretch!! You can find suggestions in instructions.
I received many compliments like they cant believe I made this myself ❤️
I will make definately more! The pants is also comfortable and have more options. I made boot cut option, but definately want to make skinny and flared too!
