The Shelby is a stunning and unique design that has been developed with some unique and flattering design elements.
Add in the thoughtfully designed twist collar and statement sleeves and you have a dress that will certainly WOW everyone.
The Shelby Dress is a stunning design that has many wonderful and unique design elements.
The fit is very flattering due to the curved vertical panels on both the front and back body.
Chose between the ruched front and back skirts – or the optional standard skirt base (without the ruching.)
Framing the face is the neckline collar that has a unique C/F twist. So very easy to sew it with such fabulous flattering impact.
Then to finish the design are the gathered and draped sleeves – offered as an option of long sleeve or elbow length.
The Shelby Dress pattern offers a choice of styling options.
- Different Skirt Lengths :
55 cms (21 1/2″), 60 cms (23 1/2″) and 75 cms (29 1/2″)
All of the above styles are completed with :
- Puff short sleeves
- Gathered waist
- Keyhole detail for front and back
The Shelby is recommended for Very Advanced and Experienced Beginners and Above sewing level due to:
- Working with Soft Jersey fabrics.
- Gathering/Ruching
PATTERN OPTIONS
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Jersey knit fabrics – approx weight of 175 gsm – with some degree of GOOD drape are BEST with at least
50% stretch across and 25% stretch going down the fabric.
- Rayon and Rayon types
- Wool and Wool types
Composition – Main 95% with 5% Spandex
