Hello! Sophie from Vienna here.
I love the Wren set so much! So effortlessly elegant. I have worn it as a set and as separates and got loads of compliments
I made my usual DS crotch adjustments (shortened 0.75“) I want to make a solid shorts set next for summer and a lengthened top for my husband

My name is Synthia and I live in Central CA. Can I say, I just love the new Wren pant and top set. I enjoyed coming up with the combinations of fabrics used. I never buy “Dry Clean” fabric, but I did for the wren set, because I loved how the set flowed together in this viscose/rayon type fabric used, this fabric was easy to work with. I love the top placket to hide the buttons, the banded sleeve, and the flowy pants. I made no adjustments to the top as I made a c-cup size, I did size down one for the pants. This outfit can be dressed up or dressed down. Tip, have fun with this set in creating your version. I do plan on sewing up another set as this set is very comfortable to wear. P.s., Ann, I did receive many looks with smiles and a compliment when taking my photos, especially when I went to the store afterward, I felt like a million bucks wearing my new Wren set. Great design once again. https://sewsynsewn.blogspot.com and sewsynsewn on FB

Hi , I’m Josée from Ottawa. I’m so pleased I got to test sew the Wren set. It consists of great pieces that look very stylish together or as separates. Untucked blouses worn in layers over a tank or cami are very chic.
I made mine in a colorful viscose print to bring a bit of fun and brightness. I paired my set with a solid camisole which allows me to wear my blouse unbuttoned for a very relaxed look. The blouse also looks great paired with skinny jeans and I love how the cami peeks out from the front hem to give a little contrast.
I made a slight mishap when cutting my blouse by shortening it too much since omitted the hem in my measurements. To remedy this and preserve the length, I hemmed the front with a bias. The overall look is the same and it gives the impression of a regular hem. My tip… Shorten this blouse only once finished because of the high low hem. Another tip is that I steam roll my upper collar piece then trim again before sewing it to the collar stand. This always gives me a smooth collar that rolls nicely and keeps its shape.
The pants are a very fast sew. I love the long wide legs that make me feel tall and vibrant. There will definitely be more of these in my wardrobe.

Hello, my name is Elise and I live in Queensland, Australia. We are currently in Autumn and this set it the perfect transitional outfit. I have used a lovely crepe with plenty of drape for my set. I have gone with block contrasting colours for something a little bit different. I love how the set feels on, I almost feel like I am gliding, so much movement. I can’t wait to wear it at Easter, it will be perfect for relaxing with the family, practical and stylish. What I am also really excited about is that I plan to make a matching Kat Top so that I can transition between long and short sleeves. As this is a nice easy make I am almost finished my second set and I see a few more in my future.

Marieke de Jong – well what I can say? When you are looking for a complete set that looks so stylish and wears as a pj…Then this Wren set is screaming your name!
The necest thing is that you can easily wear them as seperates as well; a plain top or sweater on the pants or the blouse on a jeans. You can combine this endless for any occasion.
The most difficult part was choosing my fabric. But when I was looking through my stash and found this one it was obviously, this is the fabric I wanted to use!
The sewing is pretty straight forward and quick, the result is long lasting and just gorgeous!
I worn my set during the eastern weekend for the first time and then whenever I want.

Hello, Ashley R here from London. Let’s talk about the new Wren set.
This set is amazing and just in time for summer here in London! I used a pistachio viscose from abcfabric.co.uk nice and lightweight with a great flow to it.
Let’s talk about the fit: I would always recommend making a toile fit in similar fabric to work out what adjustments you need. The main thing is getting your crotch length right and make sure your Wren top hits at the right length. I had to shorten my rise to get the perfect fit, I also shorten the bodice a little for my 5 foot height and to get the right look.
I made my Wren top and the shorts length as will be taking this set on my holiday. I will be making the pants next as I think if you pick the right fabric will make a great evening outfit.

AL Punto Nieves – I’ve tried the Wren set pattern and I have to say that it feels great.
The pants are wide, comfortable, quick to sew and easy to wear. The blouse has that fantastic front slit that gives it a unique look.
I used viscose for an everyday version. If you prefer something more luxurious for a ceremony (in Spain the season of weddings, baptisms and communions is starting now), choose a satin. Mine, serious and formal, is coming with me to Semana Santa, for processions.
As always, it’s a pattern that fits perfectly. I didn’t need to make any adjustments, just choose the right size.
Give a lot of love with the iron to the bottom of the blouse, that’s my sewing tip.

Hello Lovelies, this is Brenda from the Netherlands.
I’ve made 1 Wren set, but without the intention of wearing them together. I plan to wear them separate. I know, I’m such a rebel!
For the blouse I used a beautiful viscose with a lovely large print. I think it looks fantastic paired with jeans. The pants I made in a black viscose and will be one of those items I can wear anything with. Yes, they can most likely be worn together as well.
The whole set is very easy to make. The hardest part was the fabric pic, honestly. If I could pick one detail from the set that I love most, it will be the hidden buttons! I love a good detail.
I’m looking forward to wearing mine, but I’m waiting for slightly warmer weather.

Hi there, I’m Tina and I live in South Yorkshire here in the UK. For my Wren set I used a viscose print for both top and bottoms. The fabric choice was just what this pattern needed, lovely soft and flowy fabric that did not cling to my body.
I made a size 5 for the pants with a slight crotch reduction. I completed the 7/8 length. They sewed together really quick and definitely will be used as a separates pattern.
For the top I made a size 4 with a A/B cup. I love this style. The hidden button band was easy to sew and adds beautiful detailing.
I have worn my set already and wearing it felt so cool. I am going to make a further set with plain fabric bottoms.

My name is Johanna A and I live in Fort Lauderdale FL.
I purchased this gorgeous fabric from a woman in Facebook Market Place for $1 a yard. It’s an ombre print crepe fabric.
I don’t really have any sewing tips. The instructions were pretty straight forward. I would suggest making a muslin. I make a muslin with all my projects.
I made the regular top with long pants.
I didn’t have to make any alterations at all which is rare for me.
I have not worn it yet, but I plan on wearing it this weekend to brunch.
My next Wren Set will be a solid color set.

Hello! My name is Sue and I live in South Dakota. The timing of the Wren Set is perfect as I wanted some floaty pieces for spring and summer weather. I made the top only and I have to say, I am in love with this beautiful piece! This top includes a hidden button band and if you haven’t done one of those before, don’t be afraid! Ann’s directions for this step are easy to follow. Using a floaty fabric is so essential for this set. I used a Rayon and aren’t the colors so pretty? Take your time making this set and you’ll get so many compliments on your work! I love mine so much!
